Flowers are a part of nature's beauty that can be grown in a person's home, cut and vased to be enjoyed by individuals. They are sent to loved ones on special occasions as well as somber ones. They cheer people up, and brighten a home. They are a labour of love for some and a source of memory for others.

Lilies are often seen at weddings but also funerals. They are usually white or pink and have large petals and are very fragrant. They grow on tall stems and make a gorgeous gift.

Roses are a symbol of love. They make great valentines day gifts and bouquets for weddings. If you ever feel like giving your loved one something special just because then I would highly recommend a bouquet of roses.

Daisies are a happy flower, they literally look like they are smiling at you. They remind me of childhood, like a little girl running through a meadow of daisies. Hippies often like to string daisies together and wear them around their neck or like a crown on their head.

Sunflowers are big and bright. They don't have a very strong smell and aren't very delicate, but they make a lovely and very strong bouquet. They also go really well on a Thanksgiving or autumn table set.

Orchids are a very sophisticated flower. They can grow in many different ways and come in an assortment of colours. They are generally quite expensive and require special care.

Tulips are droopy and beautiful. They come in a wide range of colours and are a perfect flower to give to a friend or someone you've recently started a relationship with. They say 'I really like you' without going overboard the way roses might.

Magnolias are a flower grown on a tree, as supposed to from bulbs in the earth. They are beautiful pink and white flowers that open up in the spring and add a lovely touch to the homes they live in front of and the streets they live on.

Cherry blossoms are another lovely flower that's grown on a tree. They are a white flower, smaller than a magnolia that also open in the spring and add a lovely touch to a neighbourhood.

If you can't decide on what to get your loved one, mother or friend, you might opt for a bouquet inclusive of an assortment of flowers and colours.
